Conflict of Interest Annual Declaration

General

Saskatchewan Artistic Swimming follows a Code of Conduct. The purpose is to provide a safe and positive environment by making individuals aware that there is an expectation of appropriate behaviour with this Code. This code applies to Individuals' conduct during Association business and activities as well as Individuals’ conduct outside of Association business and activities when such conduct adversely affects the Association.

All Individuals who act on behalf of the Association have a duty first to the Association and second to any personal stake. All Association Directors, Officers, Employees and Committee Members will complete a Conflict of Interest declaration disclosing any real or perceived conflicts that they might have.

I have read the Saskatchewan Artistic Swimming Conflict of Interest Policy.

I agree to be bound by the obligations contained therein.

I commit to avoid any real or perceived conflict of interest.

I also commit to disclosing the existence of any real or perceived conflict of interest to the Board, as soon as it is known to me.

I will not engage in any business or transaction, or have a financial or personal interest, that is incompatible with my official duties with the Association, unless such business, transaction, or other interest is properly disclosed to the Association and approved by the Association.

I will not knowingly place myself in a position where I am under obligation to any person who might benefit from special consideration or who might seek preferential treatment.

I will not in the performance of my official duties, give preferential treatment to family members, friends, colleagues, or organizations in which their family members, friends, or colleagues have an interest, financial or otherwise.

I will not derive personal benefit from information that I have acquired during the course of fulfilling my official duties with the Association, if such information is confidential or not generally available to the public.

I will not engage in any outside work, activity, or business or professional undertaking that conflicts or appears to conflict with my official duties as a representative of the Association, or in which I have an advantage or appear to have an advantage on the basis of my association with the Association.

I will not without the permission of the Association, use the Association's property, equipment, supplies, or services for activities not associated with the performance of my official duties with the Association.

I will not place myself in positions where I could, by virtue of being an Association Individual, influence decisions or contracts from which I could derive any direct or indirect benefit.

I will not accept any gift or favour that could be construed as being given in anticipation or, or in recognition for, any special consideration granted by virtue of being an Association Individual.
